About MUCO

Moravian University College Olomouc (MUCO) is a private institution of higher education. The college provides a Bachelor’s study programme which students of the college can study either full-time (daily) or part-time (distance learning).

The character of the Olomouc region has been rapidly changing since the 1990’s and taking into account the economy of the region, there have been outstanding quality advancements so far. The Olomouc region has shown a considerable demand for experts in the field of economics and management and as there was no university or college providing such expert education in the region, this demand became the major incentive for the establishment of the Moravian College. The objective of the college is to train college-educated experts who will be able to communicate in a foreign language and work in the fields of economy and management, with emphasis on the administration and management of organisations, manufacturing and commercial enterprises; as well as specialists in public service sectors or other service fields.

Moravian University College enhances the educational systems of the region with economics and management education which is further being developed based on theoretical foundations of law, social and mathematical sciences and information technologies. This approach does not only bring fast benefits to the region (education of managers) but also new incentives for research and development of both MUCO and co-operating universities and colleges. 

The objective of the Moravian University College is to provide its graduates not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills usable in enterprises as well as in public sector services. One of the priorities of the college is to prepare well-educated employees for small and medium-sized enterprises within the region.

The college thoroughly applies the principle of practical utilisation of acquired knowledge in businesses of the Olomouc region, either through students’ practical training experience or through lectures and training held by the MUCO for entrepreneurs and other institutions.
